The next reunion for the Hugh Purvis Reunion Association is tentatively scheduled for June 17-20, 2025 in Newport R.I. This will be George Bakers last time planning. It will mark number 16 and he has done more than his fair-share. There is no doubt he will do his very best, as usual.

    Our hotel location is yet to be determined. It will not be in Newport proper, as the hotel costs there are to high. So, return to this page after January 2025 to see whet is happening.

    Below are two photos. The left one shows the piers when the Purvis was active. The one on the right shows the base today.The piers have been completely removed. When we were there in 2012, the piers were still around, but the only active ships were the Coast Guard and Jacques Cousteau's ships. The Saratoga CV60, was there but has since been scrapped. In the "Now" photoo, the piers would be to the right of the thin pier shown right if the island (???)
