The next reunion for the Hugh Purvis Reunion Association is tentatively scheduled for June 17-20, 2025 in Newport R.I. This will be George Bakers last time planning. It will mark number 16 and he has done more than his fair-share. There is no doubt he will do his very best, as usual.

    Our hotel location will be the same as in 2012, The Crown Plaza, Warwick, RI. Tentative tours include the Naval War College Museum & Base tour, Lunch on Main Street on our own, a Mansion tour, Battleship Cove with lunch on board the Massachusetts etc.

    Below are two photos of the base. The left one shows the piers when the Purvis was active. The one on the right shows the base today.The piers have been completely removed. When we were there in 2012, the piers were still around, but the only active ships were from the Coast Guard and Jacques Cousteau's ships. The Saratoga CV60, was also there but has since been scrapped. In the "Now" photo, the piers would be to the right of the thin pier shown right if the island (I think).
